Guidelines for Abstract submission
Please follow the guidance below when preparing and submitting your contribution to the 7th European Congress of IASSIDD.
The submission deadline is 15 December 2025 extended until December 22, 2025 (23:59 UTC).
How should I structure my abstract?
Your abstract should be structured under the following headings:
- Background
- Research Question(s)
- Methodology
- Results
- Conclusion
How do I write an easy-to-read abstract?
- Title
- Write title that is clear and easy to understand.
- Make sure the title helps readers know what the section is about.
- Images
- Place images next to the text to help explain what the text is about.
- Use images that are simple and easy to understand.
- Make sure you have the correct licence or permission to use the images.
- Sentences
- Start each new sentence on a new line.
- Keep sentences short – one or two lines are best.
- Use mostly positive sentences.
- Words
- Use simple words.
- Explain difficult words every time they appear.
- Do not split a word over two lines.
- Write numbers as digits (for example: 5, not five).
- How to Order Information
- Make the main information easy to find.
- Present information in a clear, logical order.
- Keep each paragraph about one topic.
- Use examples to explain ideas.
- Use bullet points instead of long lists with commas.
- When using “he” or “she,” make sure it is always clear who is meant.
What kinds of presentations can be submitted?
Oral Presentation
A 15-minute presentation (single or joint) of research or practice-related work, followed by a brief Q&A.
Poster
A visual presentation of research findings, projects, or ideas, displayed for informal discussion during the poster session.
Round Table (at least three authors)
A joint discussion on a predefined topic or research question, featuring multiple short inputs and shared reflection among presenters and audience.
Technology Workshop
A session focused on the presentation or demonstration of technological tools, systems, or applications relevant to research and practice. May include live demonstrations or interactive elements.
